I recently tried to attempt a reset on my acer laptop, everything was going fine until there was an error in reseting, once finished it asked me if I would like to restart and resume with windows 10, I clicked yes and it restarted. As soon as the boot up got to the "ACER" logo/startup screen it would go blank and then load back to that screen repetitively and it's been on for hours now with no result, please help?

Did the acer come with win 10 installed? You could try the factory reset option if it did - see here: http://acer.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2631/~/using-recovery-management-outside-of-windows

If that is no help, we need to go manual

what kind of reset did you try? keep files/settings or wipe it all?

If first, i don't know what shape win 10 will be in when/if we get into it so your files may not be there. (see step 1)

if 2nd, then full install is probably easiest (See step 2)

Now regardless of which it was, you most likely need the windows 10 installer on USB I assume - you can get it Here

Step 1
We can see if we can boot windows first
change bios so it boots from USB first, hdd second
boot from...

Step 1
We can see if we can boot windows first
change bios so it boots from USB first, hdd second
boot from installer
on screen after the language choices, select repair this pc, not install
select troubleshoot
select advanced
select start up repair - this will ask for logon details

if that doesn't work, i would suiggest trying to copy all your folders off pc using this: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/use-ubuntu-live-cd-to-backup-files-from-your-dead-windows-computer/

Step 2
Now to do a full install,
change boot order so USB first, hdd second
boot from installer and follow these steps: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1950-windows-10-clean-install.html

if you have any problems, just whistle :)
