August 27, 2024 - I have some FPSs but never play them. My main source of "gaming" is a real world armored vehicle/tank/Infantry simulator used by various armed forces around the world, that have a slightly different version. I have an LG 55" OLED TV, and I have used it from time to time when looking at the sim for various reasons. The details on such a large screen are really impressive. However, I have an Alienware 34" OLED curved monitor connected to a full tower PC that works just fine for me. The TV would be a nice back up to the monitor if there were an issue, but fortunately I have Dell 32" LCD monitor hooked up to another full tower PC. That I could hook up to the PC with the 34", but I could have a replacement for the Alienware in 24 hours if I really felt the need. I guess I'm saying is that I will stick with actual PC monitors.😊

One thing you missed and wrote a lot about was the tv not turning on and off. There is a really amazing open source program called LG TV companion app.

https://github.com/JPersson77/LGTVCompanion#installation-and-usage

It allows for the tv to turn on and off automatically with the pc via wifi, all you need is the MAC and IP of the TV and the app also has other cool burn-in relief settings.
interesting, I'll have to try this out! May even try an HDMI-CEC adapter
