I recommend installing powertoys (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/powertoys/install#community-driven-install-tools) too. A must have to supercharge your OS.

And for more advanced users who know how to use terminal/console, chocolatey/scoop is a better way of managing your installations.

When you can only choose 7, your list is perfect and matches mine, though I don't do enough with gimp to always need it. My next installs, since I'm an embedded software developer, are: Notepad++, VSCode, Python, TeraTerm. Then LibreOffice if I'm avoiding MSOffice.

I would only add Ditto, the clipboard manager. Huge time saver.
