I followed a very similar path! The Neo 32:9 monitor served me so well for a bulk of the pandemic. The feature I miss the most is its Multi-Input split-screen. I would work in 21:9 on my macbook, and stream music or if I was naughty Twitch on the remainder 11:9 of the screen.
Its HDR 2000 mode was eye-popping for movies even more than games. Despite the black bars, the Peak brightness beat even QD-Oled's peaks in actions scenes. So cinematic. I also swapped the screen for Alienware's QD-Oled on its release and am still happy I did.
