I used to be able to see my phone as another disk drive. Now I cannot. Why and how can I fix it?

I connect my phone to my laptop. It makes a beep. It used to pop up a window asking me if I wished to view as a remote disk drive. I would then copy pictures from my phone to my laptop. It doesn't do that anymore... It still beeps when I connect it to the laptop, but I do not get the popup window. My Pop-up blocker is turned off...

What is the model of your phone ? If its android you may check connection options on the phone.

Actually, it ended up being the cable. It works on other devices, but not my phone. Not sure why. Maybe a single wire not connecting.
