i want sound out of my tv

im am using
Monoprice - 6ft 24AWG CL2 High Speed HDMI to DVI Adapter Cable w / Net Jacket - Black - Blackand there is no sound going threw my tv. i using windows xp. how do i get sound?

HDMI is awesome. It can carry audio AND video but DVI can't. All audio sent / received will just be removed because DVI can't carry it. I would recommend a PC audio jack from your headphone connector, to your TV for audio and the current DVI to HDMI for your video.

Get an HDMI cable like Sammyjo20 previously stated; they are pretty cheap for what they do as well!
