Panasonic tells me it can't be done because the TV is digital and the receiver is analog. Is there some kind of adaptor. Cables on the TV are blue and green. Receiver is white and red.

Solution
You need a digital to analog converter with optical input like this one:
http://www.parts-express.com/parts-express-digital-to-analog-converter-%2851-compatible%29--180-999?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=pla
You will need an toslink optical cable to connect it to the TV and a stereo cable with RCA at one end and the correct connectors for the HTiB (would be RCA or mini plug). Some of these will only work with a pcm input so make sure that your TV has that as an option in the audio menu if you get one like that.
