I was waiting to buy a tablet until the Galaxy Tab A came out

But there seems to be nothing really new in the Tab A and the price $229 for the 8 inch and $299 for the 9.7 inch seems a bit steep for 1024x768 resolution is nothing special.

I saw the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 with a 10.1 inch screen and 1920x1200 resolution for $199, granted it is Andriod 4.4 and not 5.0 like the Galaxy, but so much cheaper and better resolution.

Which is the better buy and is there another I should consider?

I strongly recommend buying a nexus 7. Its in your price range, and it can fit into your pocket.

I bought the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70. VERY happy with it. Fast and excellent screen. Good battery life. The stock launcher from Lenovo is not very comfortable, but solved installing Nova launcher and problem solved.
