i5 6300HQ with GTX 970 M or i7 6700HQ with GTX960M?

Hi,
Was wondering between these two :
Acer Predator G9-591 with i5 and GTX 970M ( I think 3gb)
Lenovo Ideapad Y700 with i7 and GTX 960M (4GB).

Both has about 16gb ram, SSD etc. Acer is about $120 more expensive.

Main usage would be gaming ( combination of RTS and FPS), some surfing and movies.

The Acer will give you better performance because it has a more powerful GPU.

The difference between the Core i5 and Core i7 is that the Core i7 has Hyper Threading (HT). Games generally do not benefit from HT and if you are not using any programs that can take advantage of it (such as video encoding), then there is no need to get a laptop with a Core i7 CPU.
