Im looking forwart to buyng a laptop with an I7 6700HQ and a GTX 1070 alongside 8GB of DDR4 ram (which i'm looking to upgrade in th future) and im curious if this setup will hold up in the future because it is already a bit old.
Not sure what your "bit too old' standard is, the GTX 1070 is the current video card from nVidia, and the speed increase from 6th to current gen in Intel CPUs is not much at all. It will be fine for years.
Good to hear. I was just a bit concerned because the cpu is from 2015 and the gpu from around 2016 and you know that technology degrades almost as quick as food xDDD
If you got the lower end parts from a few years ago, yes it may be iffy to get now. Since you are looking at almost top of the line parts, those are a lot better to run for longer. If you had a Pentium with a 1030 video card, yes it may be not so good to get now, a 1070 is a fast card, and will be considered a fast card for a while.
