Your English is certainly better than my Polish! You need to change the CMOS
(RTC) battery.

Open the memory cover on the bottom of the machine and the battery is
immediately apparent. CR2035 if I remember correctly.

Hi Michel.

I think you have to reseat you CPU-card.

My wifes ThinkPad 770 developed these symptoms over time.

1: Began to freeze suddenly inside Windows.
2: Later it would just boot up.
3: Later again it just passed POST.
4: Last, but not least....it wouldn't even boot. Stone dead.

Cure :

Disassemble the ThinkPad 770 till you get into the CPU-card.
Take it out and put it in again. Be firm !

Assemble the ThinkPad 770 again. Power-up and voila :)

This is an error that occurs, when the ThinkPad gets warm, when using it,
and cold again when it's not used.
Within some years, these repeated warm'n cold periods will make the CPU-card
pop out of the socket.

You need the procedure to disassemble your ThinkPad 770
Here it is. The Hardware Maintenance Manual for ThinkPad 770
http://www-3.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=PFAN-3TSMGJ

Good luck and please do report back to us.

Best regards

Take out any extra RAM(from the small cover underneath) and try a restart. If
it starts fine, then the RAM is bad. Thats what it sounds like is the problem.
Bad RAM will prevent the 770 to POST beep.

The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
