Yes it will recognize more ram, windows 7 home limits your ram. Only on the 64 bit version though.

You can already use 16GB on home premium.

Do you have 32 or 64 bit? If you are on 64 bit, windows 7 home will recognize 16gb.

I have 64 bit but win I go and look at my max it ses only up to 8 gb that's y wanted to do pro so could do like 16
