If these were your only two laptop choices which would you choose? ASUS Silver 13.3" TP300LD-RHI5T15 Convertible Laptop PC with Intel Core i5-4210U Processor, 6GB Memory, Touchscreen, 500GB Hard Drive and Windows 8.1

Acer E5-571-58CG 15.6" LED Notebook PC - Intel Core i5-5200U, 2.20GHz, 6GB DDR3L, 1TB HDD

Spec wise they are pretty much the same with minimal difference.

Despite being marginally older I would chose the asus due to better build quality and the benefits of the convertible.
Now if you are doing things where larger screen is much more important then go with the acer.
