Question I'm stuck in a loop of No bootable device Please restart computer. How do I get to a command prompt?

After Microsoft installed an update a couple weeks ago, my computer stopped working. I'm currently stuck in this loop where nothing seems to bring me to s command prompt. I'm really in a jam here and in dire need of help from a computer guru. Any suggestions?
