Import your vCard Files to a New Phone

Almost all Android devices use vCard to backup and restore the mobile contacts and other information on your smartphone. vCard files have .VCF extension which are read either by any appropriate third-party apps such as vCard Manager Lite, Contacts VCF, etc., or using the Android’s built-in feature.

If your Android device does not support the .VCF file format, you may need to download and install a third-party app to get the job done. However in this tutorial, the device that is used for demonstration does support the .VCF file extension (vCard files).

Here is how you can import your vCard data that you have already exported to a vCard (.VCF) file:

■Turn on your Android smartphone by pressing the power button.
■Tap the Menu icon to display the apps list.

■Assuming that you have already exported all your contacts to a vCard file, from the Contacts View interface, tap the More icon (icon with the three vertical dots) from the bottom-right corner.
Note: The location of the More icon may vary depending upon the vendor and model of your smartphone.
■From the displayed options, tap Import contacts.
