Question In 2023, getting either Onkyo SR701 or SR502 worth it (at $60)?

I just am not happy with the soundbars I've had for my LG monitor.
A local thrift store has two Onkyo's that have been tested and they're $60.
One if the very very heavy Onkyo SR701 and the other is the slightly less heavy Onkyo SR502.
Each has several optical inputs (but no HDMI anything).
Would I get better audio with the receiver and speakers than the Vizio soundbars I own (and I don't want to spend several hundred more to try other soundbars)

Let me know if you ever get a reply. For the three inches adding decent speakers to a flat screen would use, a\it seems stupid most use down firing or rear firing speaker.
