I have been searching for weeks now, and do not know what to buy. I don't have much knowledge about computers or what really to look for. Im looking for something reliable, relatively lightweight, fast! good video card, great screen resolution, battery life. You know, pretty much the best. I am hoping to spend less than 2500

Solution
MSI GT60/70 Dominator pro. I just picked mine up for Vegas Pro 13 and Maya.

$2500 got me 17", i7 4810, gtx 880m (you can opt for quaddro k3100m for same price), 32gb ram, 3x 128gb msata in raid (I swapped out for 3x480gb msata and not raid I use one for os, one for cache disk, and one for source files), 1tb hhd (I swapped in a 2.5 1tb Samsung evo ssd).
But that's 8lbs.

Also at $2200
Theres also the MSI GS ghost, 3k screen, i7 4710, gtx 870m, 16gb ram (upgradable to 32), 2x128gb msata (upgradeable as well), and 1tb hhd (upgradable as well)
4lbs, and slim. Dual fans which MacBook doesn't have. And very solid build.
