Increasing GHz of a laptop

My laptop is HP elitebook 2530pand it has core 2 duo 1.86 GHz can I increase its ghz

*Might* be able to replace it with a higher-clocked processor (if it's PGA socket and not BGA - check with CPU-Z). There were also different families in that generation too - can't recall if they're compatible or not.

At the Core 2 Duo era, I wouldn't bother though. Anything you can get will be a small improvement at best.

No. Laptops are pretty much locked down. If you could it would likely overheat and cause it to slow back down anyway
