Input audio from TV to PC through HDMI?

So both front and rear jack panels in my PC have been damaged, as my new set of headphones won't work/ is very sensitive when I plug them in.

So I decided to use the TV as an output source instead, since it is on HDMI. and I found out that my TV has both output and input jacks. I plugged in the green in the output jack, and my headphones come to action, so that shows that it does work.

Now my only question is... is there a way to use the mic as well? There is clearly a jack here and it says "PC Audio Input"... is it possible to use this headset connected to the TV as a means to use the microphone for the PC?

No. The input is not for a mic and will not send audio back to the PC even if you add a mic preamp.
The input is for use with a non HDMI input from your PC (like DVI or VGA) which doesn't carry audio only video.

Aww that's sad. Oh well, I'll just find another way to get this mic working
