I have a Dell Inspiron 13 - 7368 running Windows 10. Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-6200U CPU @ 2.30 GHz 2.40 GHz / 8.00 GB (7.86 GB Usable) . I have a 100 Mbps x 10 Mbps broadband connection with Spectrum internet. The speeds out of my modem and Netgear Nighthawk router are near or over the 100 Mbps download speed. This is on both wireless and wired connections using a straight ethernet connection. The problem is that with my Inspiron 13 I have no Ethernet port and need to use a USB 3 hub (Dell D3100 hub). I am only able to reach download speeds up to 50 Mbps through the hub. How can I achieve the 100 Mbps wired speed I should be able to get?

Solution
Check with Dell if there is a firmware update to the dock you are using. I'd contact Dell support or check their support forums for any similar issues with the docks.
