Inspiron 1750, Sound not working

Hello,
The sound on my 1750 Inspiron laptop is no longer working. neither through the speakers or the head phone jack. Windows can recognise the card and says it is working fine but nothing is working. Any Help guys?

check your volume and mute settings all else fails reinstall drivers
