Facebook wants you using their own services, not those of competitors. Integration and compatibility used to be a big thing. Now they just want you using Facebook services and accounts whilst blocking out everything else. Ridiculous, but it's clear that they're doing this to try and generate more money for themselves and stop giving free traffic to competitors. This is just another reason why I don't have a Facebook account.
