Install the Latest Version of an App Store App

Having the latest version of an app means that you get the newest features, bug fixes, and security patches. In iOS 8, rather than uninstalling an old app to make room for the new version, the App Store allows you to update to the newest version of an app very easily.

In order to update an installed app to its latest version, your Apple device must be connected to the Internet, and you must be able to access your Apple account.

■Press the Sleep/Wake button to turn on your iPhone.
■Slide your finger towards right on the screen (screen with the slide to unlock text) to unlock the device.
