I have a Gateway NV570P02h that I am trying to install win 7. I hate win 8 and 10. With NO DVD rom I am trying to use the USB/DVD tool but cannot get it to boot from the usb drive. I have gone into the bios and set it to USB but no luck. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

Thank you very much. I was able to get in and attempt to install with the tool. However now I have a new problem. Seems the Drive is partitioned 5 times and will not let me install as it says it is of GPT partition style. So I am wondering if it would be easier to buy a new hard drive?

At the screen where you choose the drive, press SHIFT+F10.

in the DOS screen type DISKPART
type LIST DISK
type SELECT DISK 0 (which should be your HDD)
type CLEAN
close DOS window

click Refresh and you should see just one empty drive

reboot system and try to install Windows7 again

Thanks again man. I think I may have screwed it up because nothing happens when I try to use shift+F10. I did learn some new stuff though so thanks so much. I'm just going to replace the drive to make it easier. At least I know how to use the USB tool now. Consider this closed...
