Im currently using a cheap 2.1 creative speaker system that connected through the back of the pc. audio is sufficient, but I want a bit better.
Got a denon receiver from my brother. how do I connect this to my pc?
I had a klipsch promedia 4.1 pc speaker set but the amp/sub passed out and the subwoofers surround deteriorated. so no sub amp unit and just the sats.
anyways, Id like to connect the 4 satellites to the receiver. spoke to klipsch and was told they can handle 40 watts and they are 6 ohms. I think the denon can put out more than the speaker can handle, so my question is:
does a receiver give a speaker the amount of watts according to how much I turn the volume up or is it the full amount of watts all the time?
I never turned the volume up much when I was using them with the klipsch amp/sub unit so 40 watts is a huge amount for me. I dont want to burn them.
thank you.
