integrated intel HD 400 graphics card vs AMD 8550M

I have a dell inspiron with a 2GB AMD 8550M graphics card but any time I tried Flight simulator X
it only recognizes the integrated intel HD4000.
Any solutions?

Well, i believe if you right-click the desktop you can pull up a menu where you can configure the switchable graphics to turn on for specific programs, at least that's how it works with my 8750m on Win7.
