intel core m 5y70 vs core i chips

Hi. I'm starting to see systems with this chip in it. How do they compare beyond power saving die cast etc? More interested in speed and function.

The Core M series is the Broadwell Y CPU series which is the successor to the Haswell Y series. The Core M 5Y70 can be considered as a Broadwell i5

The Y model CPUs have lower performance than the the U model CPUs while consuming less power. I have not seen any actual benchmarks of the Core M series. However, the Intel HD 5300 should be around 10% - 15% more powerful than the Intel HD 4200 found in the Haswell Y series.
