Question Intel HD 620 - Can't set 5120*1440@60Hz

I have a Lenovo laptop with an i7 8th gen with the HD 620.
I know the HD 620 support 4k@60Hz
I tried setting a custom resolution using Intel's control panel: 5120*1440. I can't set it to 60Hz - getting an error message : The custom resolution exceeds the maximum bandwidth capacity
I did manage to set it to 45Hz when using a DP cable connected to the Lenovo docking
I did manage to set it to 30hz when using a high speed HDMI cable connected directly to the laptop

I googled a lot about it and saw a post about an app called CRU but it didn't work.

Lenovo's support hasn't been helpful.
Any ideas?

what the exact model of the laptop. the dp/hdmi port might not have the version to support 60hz
