I'm trying to buy a gaming laptop looking at probably getting a refurbished one. The one I have in mind has i5 5200u I want to play battlefield 1 its minimum requirements call for intel i5 6600.

Solution
The i5-5200u is a dual core CPU with Hyper Threading; two real cores and 2 virtual cores. It runs at 2.2GHz and can Turbo Boost up to 2.7GHz.

The i5-6600 is a desktop quad core CPU. It runs at 3.3GHz and can Turbo Boost up to 3.9GHz.

There is a big difference in raw performance. However, it is still possible to play Battlefield 1 depending on what dedicated graphics chip the laptop has. Below is a video demonstrating BF1 being played on an Acer laptop with a Core i5-6200u (marginally more powerful than the i5-5200u) and a nVidia 940mx with a 1080p screen.
