Internet turns off and apps stop working at times

It seems like whenever I do something heavy on my laptop, the internet turns off and the apps I try to open seem to not work, as if the whole computer was in a not responding point. For instance when I game, I can play for a while or even for a little bit and then all of a sudden the internet stops working and my game freezes. Then at the bottom right corner the wifi gets disconnected and I can't do anything.

After that when I try to restart my computer the screen gets stuck on the "restarting" screen and never actually restarts.

Sometimes I can go into device manager and disable the wifi adapter and enable the wifi adapter and the internet reconnects. Sometimes my wifi can't even find a network to connect to at all even though the wifi works perfectly fine (as tested on my phone).

I do not know what to do or how to fix this problem so if I can get any sort of help I would be much appreciated. Here are some specs of my laptop to help out with the problem

System Model: HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC
OS Name: Microsoft Windows 8.1
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-420U CPU @ 1.70GHz

I've also tried many things like upgrading the network adapter drivers and upgrading the BIOS but its still not fixed

Hi,

please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help in solving the issue.
- First is to run Windows Update and install all the updates available.
- Next is to do a virus/malware scan just to make sure it's free from infections. Please use the link below for the tools and guides.
- Once done and if the same problem will persist, uninstall/reinstall the Wifi Adapter and Graphics driver.
- First is with the Wifi Adapter, go to Device Manager and uninstall the Wifi Adapter.
- Once done reboot your PC and should reinstall automatically upon reboot then test it again after it reboots.
- Next is to do a clean install of the graphics card driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall the AMD graphics driver.
- Check Programs and Features as well and uninstall anything related to AMD.
- Once done, download and install the latest driver.
- Here's the link: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
- Reboot your PC once the latest driver has been installed.
- If the same problem will persist after the reboot I would suggest doing System Recovery to reinstall Windows.
- Here's how: http://support.hp.com/ph-en/document/c03489643
- If all these will not work unfortunately the problem would be the HDD.
