It's not a disaster as it was intended to be the 4th iPhone 12 (regular, 12pro. max & then the MINI). People were claiming they wanted a mini phone (not an SE with an older chip) so this was a test. They used an old screen size and is just an iphone 12 with less space inside. If it was huge seller, great, if not, no big deal, it's a no-risk test. So, next year, we might get a MINI or the mini becomes their folding phone. Apple is not rolling the dice on the iphone 12 mini, it's more like deciding to order a 3rd appetizer ...
