I have taken a different approach to the IPhone. I now treat the iPhone as a Service. Meaning, that unless there is some major price change on a monthly payment basis, I intend to upgrade after every 12 months. I put the phone on a 24 month payment plan, and I will \simply trade it in with no obligation to the remaining payments. Then, start the new phone payments for 24 months. I think many more people will be taking this approach. Thus, the ever elusive "Next Year's iPhone" will always be within my grasp.
