Is an Alienware 17 Laptop with 8GB of RAM going to play The Sims 3 well?

I was thinking about purchasing an Alienware laptop (the 17) and I wanted to know if it would run The Sims 3 and all of it's expansion packs with 8 GB of RAM. Thanks!

The Alienware M17x series of laptops are high end gaming machines. They will definitely play The Sims 3 without issue 😛

I don't know of any games which utilize that much, so yes it's fine.

8GB is fine, but if you want the Alienware 17 with a 1080p screen it costs around 1650 . . . but for 100 bucks less you can get something like this: http://www.xoticpc.com/asus-g750jxrb71-backorder-p-5969.html . . .

Alienware are kind of cool machines, but a little overpriced for whet you get. That site I linked has tons of gaming laptops that are great. Sims 3 isn't really all that demanding of a game.

yes 8 gb ram is more than enough, you really only need more than that if your doing professional video editing,and multitasking at the same time, you can play 99.9% of all games with 8gb ram and alienware is a top gaming rig the 17 is an awesome gaming laptop im getting one myself in a month, so enjoy and i hope you enjoy the awesomeness of alienware
