Is avira anti-virus safe to download?

I recently tried to download it on the Tomsguide website but it just gave me a security error so I wasn't able to download it...

Never mind it is safe to download avira just that I have to uninstall MSE

I personally use avast it has never failed me it's light and powerful good free av. And perfectly safe being using it for do years now kept my system safe.

You don't need to uninstall MSE , Avira will disable it during install.
