Is i7 2.20ghz enough for gaming and other purpose

i cant see any laptop with i7 more than 2.2ghz under 1000$..is 2.2ghz enough for gaming

In gaming the processor usually isnt the limiting factor.That i7 should be good enough for just about any game if the graphics card is also high end.
