I want to buy a laptop with great resolution and with the latest Intel Core i5 and with 8GB internal storage. What I don't know is if the graphics card that comes with the processor (Intel HD graphics 4400) is good enough for games like GTA V. Is it?

Thanks for the answers!

I've got that same i7 and to be honest when I tested GTA IV without using the nvidia 740m in my laptop the game was barely playable.
I doubt the intel 4600 will be able to handle GTA V unless it is brilliantly optimised at low settings.
If you want to play all the modern games on a laptop it helps a lot to buy something with at least a 740m or equivalent AMD graphics like the R7 M265.

However integrated graphics are improving. There are high hopes that the 5th gen i7 5770 coming out in a few months won't be as reliant on dedicated graphics cards to make games playable. I'll wager that CPU will be able to handle GTA V at low settings, however at the moment I wouldn't buy any laptop without a dedicated graphics card unless it was a high end AMD APU no less than the A8 7200P.

Honestly you could play any games you like with the hd 4400, but like others said you will just have to lower some settings and sometimes resolutions. Per notebookcheck.net: The GT2 version integrates 20 EUs, compared to 16 EUs for the old HD 4000. Depending on the clock rate, the HD 4400 matches the performance of a dedicated Radeon HD 7550M.

I do apologise as this is such an old thread and my answer is highly belated but I'd just like to point out incase you bought this laptop and haven't already seen that gta v will actually run on the 4400 with cpus of the i3 range such as the 4030u on medium settings with shadows turned off at around 30 fps on average

[redacted] that table is so wrong. I've even played farcry 3 on Intel HD 3000. and surprisingly GTA v is playable on Intel HD 3000.. at 23-30 fps rate.. 4400 is better than 3000 and 4000 so it can run all of the games,, with playable fps rate.

I'm playing GTAV smoothly on my AMD APU A8 4500m, 6GB of RAM and only on integrated graphics (with crossfire off, it doesn't give much boost to GTAV). My friend have HD4600 intel's integrated graphics and he also get decent FPS with shadows turned off. Game is very well optimized for integrated graphics that supports DX11.

I have Intel 4400 GPU and GTA V runs smooth as silk, just saying.
I have an I3 processor and pretty much same specs you described.
It even runs Unity.

And i have directx11 enabled and all settings normal and either off! And havent even touched advanced graphics settings and get nice framerates.
