Is it illegal to stream using a VPN?

I've currently been watching the DC TV series Arrow on Sky in the UK. In the USA I am aware it is aired on the CW about 2 weeks earlier, and was going to download the CW app to watch it. The problem is that the CW app isn't available in the UK. Is it legal to watch the TV show using a VPN so my tablet thinks I'm from the USA so will let me download the app?

Whether it's legal or not depends on your local laws. It's legal in Australia, for example. It's almost certainly a violation of the terms of service, but that's another issue.
