is it possible to recover a stolen laptop

i did not have any tracking software on my lap top but i have a personalized network which automatically connect to the laptop, the network once indicate the laptop is in the range, so how can i recover it

Unless you found by pure luck, there is no feasible way to track the system. Sorry.

no unless u had a gps chip hidden withing the laptop. sad to say but ur chances are quite small of finding it.
