I bought a custom gaming laptop in 2013 from Cyberpower UK. It lived a good life but around 6 months ago the GPU began failing, BSOD's, failing to boot etc which didnt resolve after driver resets... the laptop is functional only when the GPU device is disabled.

I now use a desktop, but for the sake of gifting this on / selling it, is it possible to replace or repair this GPU? Here are my laptops details:

If the GPU can be in your opinion replaced, what would be compatible / is there a shop / specialist that can do this?

Thanks,

If the video card is in an MXM socket, then yes you can replace it with another working one. But keep in mind the cost to buy one may be as much as the laptop is worth on it's own. Yes there are computer repair places that can swap it for you but then you are paying for the work and the part, which will make your $250-300 laptop cost you $200 to fix netting you not a lot of money. The cheapest 680M now on eBay is $140, I would guess a repair shop would charge $50 or more to install it. Your laptop in 100% shape is worth maybe $300, you should be able to get $200 for it in as is shape, maybe even more depending on the day and who is looking for a system. Put it up on eBay at whatever price you want or best offer as is, see what happens.
