So the laptop I am currently looking at which is the y410p which has 600 x 900p resolution. Now I know it may sound silly but is there a way to upgrade to a 1080p display? Or will I just have to buy a 1080p monitor and plug in my laptop ?

Solution
Even if there was, the video card might not be able to output 1080. Also, trying to replace the panel is going to be so costy - half the price of a new laptop.

Ok, I'm seriously getting fed up with you, don't spam. And please decide on what you want! If you have time to write new questions, how about checking the older ones?

Just put everything in one thread, that way you won't clog up the forum and make this inconvenient!

Cheapest and best solution to this thread: Buy a laptop with a 1080p screen. If the original screen is not 1080p, the hardware is not made to run 1080p games.

in-theory yes but in practice it is chaper and a lot less complicated to buy 1080p screen for it! NOTE: what is the output for video on your laptop!? because you might not be able to get 1080p if the output plug is not hdmi or dvi(not sure if there are laptops with dvi)
