First thing, ask before you buy it, after is too late.

4k screens on a small laptop screen are really a waste, the display is too small to need it, a 1080 screen is all you need for a 17" screen. Even in the 20" size 1080 is great. Once you get to 30" + then 4k starts to make more sense.

Buying used, you may or...

Buying used, you may or may not be able to get service from Dell if something goes wrong, for a 1,600 purchase that is a bit iffy.

A new system with the specs, without the 4k screen is about 1,600-2,000 http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np8678s-clevo-p670rg-p-8669.html

Spending another $200 or so for a full warranty is worth it.

This is a 4k screen, $2,000 new http://www.xoticpc.com/gigabyte-p37xv5-sl4k2.html
