Is the Nvidia Shield the best tablet for around £250?

Hi, I've been looking around for quite some time to replace an ageing Samsung tablet of mine. The only option that seems suitable for my purposes is the Nvidia Shield. My requirements are that is to have stock Android, have a Full HD or higher screen and be around £250. These specifications of the Nvidia Shield seem difficult to beat for the price, but I was just wondering if I have missed any other options that are on the market/soon to be on the market.
