Is the screen going black a Dell problem?

My Dell screen has gone black. I just did a recommended computer evaluation and that came on the screen perfectly. Everything looks fine,but the screen returns to black after restarting. Does this happen more with Dells?

I assume this is a laptop. Try plugging in a monitor. If you get picture on that, it could be a driver problem

I loaned my monitor and didn't get it back. I'll try to find one. Thanks
