First, do you need a laptop for gaming? You can get a future proof gaming PC for the same price that will perform better.. that laptop is overkill!

The Y500 has recently been upgraded and that is the older model. I would suggest getting this one instead:

It has GT 750m SLI vs the 650m SLI in that notebook.

The Y500 is a great machine.
