Is this a good deal? Lenovo G50-70... i7 4500U, 8GB, R5 M230

Hello guys, I'm looking for a laptop for my girlfriend. She will be using it for university and multimedia. Maybe she will try out some gaming too but that's not an issue. I want to buy locally because of warranties and customer service ( I've had bad experiences in the past).
I found a lenovo g50-70 with the following specs ;


Model G5070 59412308

CPU Intel Core i7-4500U 1.8 GHz
Cache 4 MB - L3 Cache
HDD 1 TB - SATA 5400 rpm
RAM 8 GB - DDR3 SDRAM - 1600 MHz
Screen 15.6" LED - 1366x768
GPU ATI Radeon R5 M230

I found it for 400euros which in my country is the same price of a g50-80 or a g50-70 with
an i3 CPU 4gb ram with integrated graphics and a 500gb HDD.

It sort of looks too good to be true. What I'm concerned about is battery life and well... why the hell is this so cheap? Do you think it's a bargain or is there a catch I'm not seeing? It's just that there is nothing that comes even close to it performance wise in this price range...

It comes with a 1 year warranty and no postage fees.

Wow. The specs on that do appear to demand a higher cost then they are asking. In my experience, the low price typically goes hand in hand with the company cutting corners on some of the hardware. However, at that price, Even if it lasts 3 years your good .

I just spent $420 USD on a laptop with specs: Intel i3-5005U, 4GB RAM, 1TB HD, DVD RW, WiFi, Windows 8.1. I'm sure it will only last 2 years but no matter.

It is a pretty good deal. 400 euro works out to $500 and in that price range you generally do not get an i7-4500u CPU. The Radeon R5 M230 is rather weak though for a dedicated GPU. It is only a little more powerful than the Intel HD 5500 found in 5th generation Broadwell Intel CPUs like the i5-5200u.
