Is this gaming laptop good for video editing?

gonna need something portable for video editing while at university, using programs like After FX, Sony Vegas, Avid Media Composer, maybe Davinci Resolve if i'm pushing it.
Not too fussed about the graphics card as my work is barely going to include any OpenGL/3D rendering processes, but the processor seems alright.

I'm just concerned about the specifications surrounding the cores a laptop i7 has compared to a desktop i7, or are they the same? Should I buy this laptop?

For that price, I'm sure you can get a better GPU. So no.
