Solved! Is this HP any good?

Looking to get a laptop as I am going overseas and I'm looking for the best deal while having a decent entertainment computer. Does this look good? Any advice would be great. I'm willing to pay up to $1250. This computer comes to About $1150 total.

By 'entertainment computer' you mean gaming too? It's not a top-flight gamer, but will do a credible job with that HD 6770M graphics card. It's got everything else, music, video, movies, etc, well covered.

That's a pretty good deal. But if you knock a couple hundred off the price then I like it a whole lot better. Very good value for your money.

Yeah, that link there is what I did. I'm on a budget as you can see. So, you think this is a good deal? I've tried several other sites and couldn't find one for less. And, I'm also not sure how good HP computers are (never had one).

HP has put out some really stinky laptops in the past. But also plenty of good ones.
It's a good value for the whole package and should be no better / no worse than average for any similar type laptop in the same price range.

For comparison:
DELL XPS 17 (L702x) 17" Notebook should perform nearly identical with the HD dv7t
ASUS G73SW-XN2 17" Notebook a step up in gaming performance with the GTX 460M graphics

If you could find one of those in a no-tax free shipping option (like from Amazon) you might want to consider those.
Asus has the 2 year warranty and 1 yr accidental damage coverage as well.
