i will be going to college next year, as a computer science major, i wanted to know if this laptop was good for what ill need to do:

This is a pretty basic laptop. I'm really not sure what you'll need it to do, but a prebuilt computer is not really going to help you learn about computers, so i recommend you build a new desktop if you are open to that idea.

i need a laptop to carry around campus and use in my classes.
I do plan on building my own desktop , when i get a little better budget.

So you're looking for something for school work only. not something you can expirement on as you learn things in your classes? this laptop would be fine for the normal stuff.
