This is the laptop here:

staples.ca/en/Acer-E5-722G-83DD-17-3-A8-7410-8GB-RAM-1TB-HDD-Windows-10-Laptop/product_2106872_2-CA_1_20001?sk_test=a

Specs are:

2.2 GHz AMD A-Series A8-7410
8GB DDR3 system memory
1TB Hard Disk Drive
Quad-core (4 Core)

Not sure what else you need, the rest is on the link above.

It's currently on sale at Staples for $399.97. Pretty much my budget after Christmas. I don't know much, okay let's say anything... About computers. I know that desktops are the better option for gaming because they're cheaper, more powerful, and last longer, but I have a $400-$500 budget. I also would need to buy a monitor, mouse, and keyboard on top of a desktop because I don't have any of those at the moment. Basically starting at scratch, and buying everything that goes with a Desktop would go WAY over my budget. Especially now that hours are starting to cut back, so it's not like I can buy one piece now and just save up for another later.

When it comes to gaming, I am just talking games like CS:GO, WOW, Minecraft, Star Wars Old Republic, or an Indy game like Subnautica. Maybe some older games like a Borderlands, or GTA IV. Nothing too crazy. I don't need amazing graphics, I am fine with playing higher intensive games on like low to medium settings. I have a PS4 as well and do most of my gaming there, so the laptop isn't really for hardcore gaming just for some extra fun on the side. I just want to know if this will get the job done for me?

The A8 7410 is a fine APU in itself, but designed for low power envelopes (Carrizo-L, 10-13 inch). Putting it in a 17 incher will work, but its not the most efficient use of the thermal capabilities of a large laptop. I have almost the same APU in my Lenovo (A8 6410) and it will have some trouble with SWTOR and GTA IV. CS:GO and WOW will be fine.

For your budget, it is actually possible to get a bit more graphics power: https://www.amazon.com/X555DA-AS11-Full-HD-Laptop-Windows-Silver/dp/B01C086TLS/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1483828684&sr=1-1&refinements=p_n_size_browse-bin%3A2423841011%2Cp_n_feature_four_browse-bin%3A9697950011%2Cp_n_condition-type%3A2224371011

This notebook does have a (Carrizo) APU better suited for 14-15 inch formfactors, the A10 8700P. It will be quite a bit faster in CPU and GPU demanding tasks like the games you mentioned:
- FireStrike 8700P w R6 graphics > 983
- FireStrike 7410 w R5 graphics > 539
