I downloaded a custom map for a game on a well-respected site called Zombiemodding. I've downloaded plenty of maps from there before. Problem is, this time I tried downloading the mediafire link, and it told me to enter the captcha, which was a belle tire video add with the captcha password right in the middle. So I enter it, and click the download button after, and long behold I get sent to this site http://www.digitalprivacyalert.org/drt/41-1116.html?subid=oP2gQT9tEq-5769eb2246c4df1c4f8b4651&l=683&ept=lJgHh8D%2B3K1Fa%2Bdo7TTjlk6oGz9WwY60VIUMzW%2Bww09kGhJx3A2EklA11fGuD%2FPwRgjgXwRKhcAPSTviGJBUKw%3D%3D&o=12-489 I didn't click on the button below, I just exited the page. Harmful or no?

There are many fake download buttons on those sites, it is likely you just clicked on a false one and got redirected to a spam popup which will attempt to make you download malware in a guise of a file.
I know of a Digital Privacy browser addon that does this, although I'm not sure about this website, although it is likely harmless if you have an anti-virus installed, just don't click anything and exit it asap.

I'm sure you already ran a full virus scan after updating your anti-virus. It's usually the second click that burns your britches, but you never know. My personal 2 cents is that you're ok, but watch your system for a while. If you have odd activity, or keep getting strange pop-ups that you never had before, you may need to some stronger medicine. If you can find your maps at another site, I'd recommend that.
